Too Cool! Or Too Tired!

She's too cool for you. Or really tired after a night of walking around in heels looking for spirits, demons, and monsters to defeat.

Webcomic Progress

So the new comic work I'm doing is different than "Friend."

A lot different.

Now that I'm at a proper PC I can really use the full power of everything I know about 2D and 3D art since I have all the tools at my disposal.

Good idea? Bad idea?

Will I make it before I run out of (filler) material?

I don't know at this point.

I'm applying what I know. I'm exploring things I don't know and incorporating all of this research and development, 3D model creation, comic book artistry all together into these new pages.

They'll look different than "Friend" did that's for sure.

What am I learning?

I jumped back to using Blender to help me create some backgrounds which I hope to reuse. Some of the assets I'm making are Kamiko's apartment.

I really want to take this time to also explore Kamiko as a person. What's her home look like? What kind of things does she have? How's she live? That's mostly the focus of the new comics I'm creating. Who is she outside of her magical girl self.

I figure building her apartment can help me get a sense of who she is. It seems like a fun project anyway. Another reason is to have some kind of spatial consistency as I set stories there. This way I'm not trying to piece together what her home looks like as I draw. I can move a camera and get a POV right away and since Blender has the ability to even render line art, I can get a helping hand in producing the visuals needed for the comic.

We'll see how that turns out.

Until next week...
