A Brand New Friend!

A Brand New Friend!

And a brand new comic??

I know, it's been a long while, hasn't it?

I had to take time for myself and figure out what was enjoyable about doing the things I was doing. Sometimes that takes time. You have to come the long way around to why you were doing something in the first place. I don't even know if I've figured that out.

I can't guarantee that this will be a constant stream of new comics, but there are a bunch of new drawings that make up a sequential story! As per my "Magical Girl Kamiko" policy, new pages will show up when they do.

Sorry, no schedule. As if I could stay on one.

I have a feeling most people who come here binge a bunch of the content and then leave -- at least according to my web analytics.

This page is a continuation of Magical Girl Kamiko and my more "looser" approach to doing online content. At this point, there's very little chance you'll see something as highly produced as The Rabbit and the Moon, which, by the by, you can still read on this website for FREE.

My goal is to share a story. There's a balance between having fun doing the art and hard work to make it happen and balancing it against the economy of time. What's funny is I'm daunted by the scale and size of The Rabbit and the Moon and sweat bullets when I ask myself, "Can I make something like that again?"

And yet, at the same time, I know that you build something like that drawing by drawing, word by word. A fully formed 128-page comic doesn't appear one day, that comes from years of work.

And yet it is the idea of "years" that daunts me. How many more comics like that can you do? Do you really need to do that again?

I want to tell more stories and write them faster, and so to that end it's made me balk at another one. It's not out of the question, but that's a question to be answered sometime later.

I'll try to do my best to do both and make something for you to enjoy!

If you do enjoy it, please leave me a comment or share it with your friends.
